This policy covers webren.dev. “We”, “us” and “our” mean WebRen SRL, registered in Romania (CUI 49181562, Trade Register no. J19/535/2023), at Croitorilor 14, Odorheiu-Secuiesc, 535600, Harghita County, Romania. “WebRen” means the same company. We are the data controller for anything you send through this site. Questions about it go to [email protected].
The short version
- The site uses Google Analytics only if you agree to it in the cookie banner. It runs no advertising trackers.
- Apart from that analytics, we only receive personal data when you send it to us through one of three forms: the contact form, the free site check request, or the discovery-call booking.
- What you send is used to answer you, and for nothing else. There is no newsletter, no marketing list and no CRM sequence behind any form.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you by emailing [email protected].
What we collect, and why
Each form collects only what it needs to do its job. Every form also has a hidden anti-spam field and validation checks; those look at the submission, not at you, and store nothing extra.
Contact enquiry
Your name, firm, email address, website address, what you need and your message. It is stored as a private record in the site’s WordPress database and emailed to us so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you have chosen to send and, where you are asking about working together, taking the steps you have asked for before any contract.
Free site check
Your website address and your email address. Stored the same way and emailed to us so we can run the check and send you the report. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by asking for the report. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; we will delete the request and not send the report.
Discovery-call booking
Your name, firm, email address, the slot you chose and your time zone. Stored in the site’s database. When the booking system is connected to our calendar, the booking is also written to WebRen’s Google Calendar with a Google Meet link, and Google sends the confirmation and reminder emails. That means Google processes your name and email address as a calendar guest under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: taking the steps you have asked for before any contract.
Cookies and analytics
If you choose Accept in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how it is used: how many people visit, which pages they arrive on and view, how far down a page they scroll, which buttons and links they click, and when a form is sent. Nothing is collected until you accept.
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by the site’s ID. They hold a random ID so visits can be counted, and they expire after about 13 months. Google signals and all advertising features are switched off, and Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics as our processor. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Your choice is saved for 12 months in a small cookie, cookieyes-consent, set by CookieYes, the tool that shows the cookie banner. It is needed to remember your choice, so it is always on. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set, and any set earlier are removed.
What we do not do
- No advertising pixels, no session recording, no heat maps.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your details for marketing.
- No automated decisions and no profiling.
Who else sees your data
A small number of providers process data on our behalf so the site can run:
- Hosting. Hetzner Online GmbH, in Germany, stores the site and its database, including the form records above.
- Email. Form notifications and our replies are sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France).
- Calendar. Google Calendar and Google Meet, only when you book a call and only once the connection is switched on, as described above.
- Analytics. Google Analytics, only if you accept it in the cookie banner, as described above.
We do not send your data anywhere else. Where a provider is in a different country from you, the transfer relies on that provider’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries and site check requests: 12 months from the date you send them, then deleted. If we start working together, the enquiry becomes part of the project record and is kept with it.
- Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted automatically.
- Discovery-call bookings: for as long as the relationship lasts, then deleted.
- Email: our mailbox keeps our correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or project.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
- Deletion: ask us to erase it, unless we have a legal reason to keep it.
- Objection: object to processing that relies on our legitimate interest.
- Portability: receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: for the free site check, at any time.
- Complain: to Romania’s data protection authority, the ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal, dataprotection.ro), or the authority in the EU country where you live, if you think we have handled your data badly. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address you used, or tell us how to confirm it is you. We answer within one month.
Security
Form records are stored as private entries that only a logged-in administrator can see. The site is served over HTTPS, kept up to date, and runs no third-party plugins that read visitor data. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep what we hold to a minimum and delete it on the schedule above.
Changes to this policy
If what the site does changes, for example if we add a new tool, this page changes with it. The “last updated” date at the top tells you when.
